Beginners Firearm Training
TAC 4 – Combat Handgun Fundamentals
This course is step 2 in our handgun skills development program. It is intended for intermediate to advanced level shooters who have attended the concealed carry course or a basic handgun course and are comfortable with the 4 basic firearms safety rules. In this course the students will vastly improve their ability to make decisions and get rounds on target(s) quickly. In addition to marksmanship fundamentals, we will discuss the survival mindset and reinforce the principles of defensive handgun shooting. The student will be drawing from a holster or starting at a tactical ready position for most drills to become more proficient in his or her weapon manipulation skills. Here we also add stress through introducing time limits and multiple targets to the drills.
This is an intermediate to advanced course. Students should have a firm grasp on the fundamental firearms safety rules and should be comfortable shooting in a group and from multiple positions and while moving.
