Beginners Firearm Training
TAC 1 – Basic Pistol Course
Gun Classes for Beginners: Pistol Fundamentals
Introduction to pistol operations and mechanics as well as how to use a pistol effectively in an emergency situation is included in our gun classes for beginners. This NRA Basic Pistol Course is designed to implement muscle memory involving pistol operation through the act of repetitive movement and pistol application drills. In our pistol permit classes, the student will learn the mechanics of operating a pistol by first conducting drills “dry” (no ammunition) and eventually transitioning to “live drills.”
Our basic pistol course reviews the NRA basics of pistol shooting and addresses weapons manipulation fundamentals from the standpoint of human biomechanics, ergonomics, and mental processing. The TAC program is as much about understanding the weapon system as it is about understanding yourself and the principles that make you react and function as an individual. Developed for beginners, our gun classes are designed to give students a template for increasing mental acuity, focus, dexterity, balance, and spatial awareness while performing skill-based weapons manipulations. These same skills have direct application in everyday life. The TAC program will not just make you a better shooter – it will help you fine-tune your performance in all aspects of your life. This course is provided in collaboration with Tomer Israeli from the Israeli Tactical School.
